Own the Glory | Viction’s Retrodrop Season 2

Retrodrop is back and is more focused than ever. With Season 2, we’re continuing to honor those who have contributed meaningfully to the Viction ecosystem, while sharpening the way we define and reward impact.
Why Retrodrop Matters
Since the inception, Viction has believed in rewarding contributors retroactively, recognizing real action, not just speculation. Retrodrop is our way of saying thank you to those who build, grow, and lead on-chain.
Season 1 was the proof of concept. Season 2 is a leap forward in values.
The Community Has Spoken
After an open forum discussion and on-chain voting, the community has selected Model “Community-Led Growth” as the final distribution framework for Season 2, focusing on:
- Empowering grassroots contributions from users, communities, and builders who drive on-chain activity.
- Recognizing not only high TVL or token issuance, but also meaningful cultural and educational impact.
- Prioritizing engagement, adoption, and ecosystem health over short-term metrics.
This model reflects the values of decentralization, transparency, and long-term growth, placing the power of value creation back in the hands of those who live and build on-chain.
Total Allocation & Distribution
A total of 2.5M $VIC will be distributed in Season 2.

2. Eligibility will be based on
Projects will be evaluated based on their contributions during Q1–Q2 2025 and categorized into three tiers:
- Ecosystem Catalysts: Projects contributing to TVL, token issuance, and deep engagement.
- Community Pillars: Projects that have built community culture, hosted events, or led education efforts.
- User Growth Drivers: Projects driving active users and adoption via integrations, campaigns, or tools.
3. Fund Usage Policy
To reinforce on-chain alignment, all Retrodrop funds are restricted to staking use or node operation only via the three platforms below, as they are the only official and trusted staking addresses recognized by the Viction Foundation:
- VicMaster
- VicPool
- deFusion
Trading, liquidity provision, or inter-wallet transfers are strictly prohibited.
Funds will be transferred directly to verified public wallets officially provided by each project, and all movements will be transparently tracked. Misuse may result in allocation revocation.
This ensures that all VIC allocations directly contribute to decentralization, validator health, and long-term value creation for the network.
Usage duration:
- The project must start the staking or node operation process within a maximum 10 days after receiving the fund. If not, it will be seen as misuse.
- The end of the staking or node operation period is currently undetermined. When announced - at a future, unspecified time - projects will be given 10–15 days to unstake and return the full allocated amount to the Treasury wallet, which will be shared at that time.
What’s Different This Time?
1. More nuanced Recognition
We’re recognizing not just activity, but quality and intent, rewarding verified builders, communities, and meaningful contributors.
2. Builder-First Narrative
Season 2 marks the rise of the Developer Era on Viction. We are rewarding those building the onchain frontier first, helping them thrive by reinforcing their vision within the ecosystem. When the ecosystem is filled with strong, healthy projects, the entire community, including Viction users, will grow together.
3. Everyone has a Role in the Glory
Through initiatives like the “Own the Glory My Way” bounty hosted by FrontierDAO and sponsored by Viction, we invite everyone to reflect on their role in this journey - with bonus rewards for selected participants who share their stories.
Retrodrop Season 2 is a community-led reward system that strengthens the builder economy, and builds trust through transparency and ownership.
You showed up. You built. You believed. Now it’s time to own the glory.
