A Technical Deep Dive into the Engine Powering the Future of Viction

The Web3 revolution promises a decentralized, user-centric future, but navigating this new landscape can be daunting, especially for those unfamiliar with the underlying technology. Viction tackles this challenge by offering a powerful, secure, and accessible blockchain platform specifically designed to empower individuals and projects to thrive in the Web3 ecosystem.

Beyond just a platform, Viction fosters an inclusive environment by providing the necessary tools and support for developers and users alike. However, the heart of this ecosystem lies in its technical infrastructure of what makes Viction tick:

Unveiling the Powerhouse: Viction's Technical Prowess

Leveraging PoSV mechanism

The Viction blockchain is produced and maintained by a maximum of 150 masternodes consistently through the PoSV consensus mechanism. Masternodes store the entire blockchain state, propose blocks, and are required to lock up at least 50,000 VIC tokens. Masternodes are selected by voting, which is done through the VicMaster dApp.

Since the block rewards in the Viction network are evenly distributed for each block regardless of the amount of stake a masternode might have, for every 900 blocks, a checkpoint block is created and contains no transactions: instead, it only features rewards. To claim these rewards, each masternode has to scan all of the created blocks in these 900 blocks and count the number of signatures. The higher number of signatures one masternode has made, the more reward it earns out of this reward block.

Rewards in each block are distributed in the following manner:

  • Infrastructure reward: 40% of rewards go to masternodes.
  • Staking reward: 50% of rewards go to the pool of all voters. A voter receives a reward proportional to the amount of work the masternode he voted for has done over the last 900 blocks.
  • Foundation Rewards: 10%, goes to a special account controlled by the Masternode Foundation, which is run by Viction Lab Pte Ltd. initially.

A double-validation process

Similar to existing PoS-based blockchains, in the Viction network, each block is created by a block producer (i.e., the masternode). However, under the PoSV consensus mechanism, Viction requires the signatures of two masternodes on a block to push the block onto the blockchain. One masternode is the block creator, while the other masternode is randomly selected to validate the block produced by the former masternode.

Viction aims to use this Double-Validation technique to enhance the stability of the blockchain by diminishing the probability of producing "garbage" blocks while maintaining both the system's security and consistency.

Also, we recently reinvented the ERC-20 to VRC-25 token standard. VRC25 is developed in an effort to simplify the way a token works by eliminating the need for gas when using the token. It means that users won't need to keep native tokens when they transfer, approve, or any other actions available on the token. Instead, the fee for the network can be paid by the token itself.

Viction understands the importance of compatibility and ease of use. That's why we've built our platform to be fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This allows developers to leverage our existing Ethereum development experience and seamlessly migrate our projects to the Viction platform, accelerating the development process and fostering wider adoption.

Beyond the Basics: Continuous Innovation for a Scalable Future

We are committed to continuous research and development, actively exploring and integrating cutting-edge scaling solutions like sharding and EVM parallelization. This ensures that Viction remains at the forefront of technological innovation, adapting and evolving to meet the ever-growing demands of the Web3 landscape.

Viction's dedication to technical excellence, accessibility, and user-centricity makes it a compelling platform for anyone looking to build and participate in the future of Web3. Explore the Viction platform, delve into our detailed technical documentation, and join the vibrant community of developers and users shaping the decentralized future. Together, we can build a more inclusive, secure, and powerful Web3 for everyone.
